Happy Children Day
Hi all, Happy Children Day. On my way to work this morning, saw lots of children with their parents. Then i realised, oh! It's children day. Sometimes don't you just envy the lifes of children? Carefree, no worries, just sit and watch cartoons for hours. Their only worries i bet is homework.
Com'on lets relieve some of the precious moments that we've done during children day. Me? Well, I guess everyone will gather in the school hall for a Children's Day concert. Teachers will put on some silly acts and plays and we will just scream and shout at the top of our lungs. But honestly what do we love most? No, its not the acts or plays, neither is the teacher. We love their gifts. My bag is always filled with stationaries, chocolates, sweets and books. Slowly unwrapping them one by one, putting them nicely aside! kids are just kids. we simply love stationaries. Agree. But look at the condition a few weeks later, tattered and torn, eraser with animal's face - half gone, pencils with broken lids etc. That's our school life huh!
Ok, the moment i reached the office, I got a call from Ray. asking me to redo the whole report. I was cursing the clients silently. if you can see my nick on msn "hell, its a farking day". But still i manage to get things done by sacrificing my lunch. Fingers cross. I hoping I have the figures right. Stress!
Kelly just gave me a call few moments ago. Its always good to hear from her. She was asking me about her laptop and stuff and we started to talk and giggle and laughing out loud. Mum was staring at me strangely. This great friend of mine, never fails to amuse, amaze and put a smile on my face, even on the toughest day. Its a long story, but if you're interested, read on. I knew her since sec 1, and it WASN'T a love a first sight. It was more like a hate at first sight. She was very different from us and any of my classmates. Why? She was still in her Primary school uniform as she couldn't get one. She's loud and such an attention seeker. Hate you, I thought. But as time goes by, things turn out to be somehow unexpected. We get along really well. For certain reason, i was name as Xiao Ya Ya - Little Duckling. We had fun during class as well as in NPCC. Then until sec 2, we had a fight. Remember I don't come a good school and she's a AH LIAN ok. So can you imagine how our fight is like in the voicemail? With hokkien vulgarities thrown here and there. Asking for time and place to meet to pick on a fight. Stupid. But this fight eventually makes our friendship stronger. So until today, Kelly is really one of my best mate. A friend you can count on. Thanks Kelly!
